Thriller as ten goals shared at Dunloy match

What a gamewe had at Dunloy in the Ballymena Provincial League sponsored by Michelin Athletic Club on Saturday with the home side and Newtowne sharing the points and ten goals.

Conor Reid put Dunloy ahead on the 10th minute then goals from Gerard and Ryan Logue put Newtowne in front after 25 minutes. Goals from John John McFerran and Conor Reid on the 35th and 36th minutes put Dunloy back in front.

Ryan Logue equalised for Newtowne on the 55th minute before Conor Reid completed his hat-trick on the 65th minute. Newtowne were back level again on the 88th minute after Gerard Logue scored. Injury time was then being played when a penalty converted by Chris Smylie on the 91st minute put Dunloy in front but back came Newtowne with Paul McIvor scoring the equaliser on the 94th minute.

This Saturday Dunloy are away to Desertmartin in the league.

In other matches in Dunloy’s division, Ballynure Old Boys and Magherafelt Sky Blues both fired in four goals with the Old Boys conceding one in reply at Carniny Amateurs whilst Sky Blues kept Rathcoole FC goal-less.

Ballynure’s scorers were Ronnie Burns with a hat-trick and Ross Miskimmin and Cummings for Carniny.
