The Forge rule the Roost
The Forge v Roost B was the only game played in this double in/double out competition.
Michael Sweeney (2x100, 2x121, 125, 140, 19 darts) got Roost B off to a perfect start with a win over John Evandelista (100). Harry Stirling (2x100, 140) levelled the score with a win against Alan McVicker (2x100). Martin Barr (100, 125, 140) restored the Roost’s lead with a win against Gary Kennedy (3x100). Clarke Scott (3x100) won a hard fought game against Kevin Scanlon (125) to level the game again. The Forge didn’t make any mistakes in the doubles matches winning both games to secure a 4 – 2 victory and a place in the next round.

Hide AdFavourites Roost A had to come from behind to claim the first Silverware of the season against a determined Floyd’s Flights. Stephen Pinkerton (125) defeated Paddy Kelly (4x100, 120, 140) to give the Flights the lead. Daniel McDonald (4x140, 16 darts) had to work hard to level the score against Francis Kelly (100, 135, 140).
In form Rodney Kane (2x100, 140, 180, 16 & 20 darts) restored the lead for the Flights with a win over Davy Morrow. The Roost then went on to win the last two games and the trophy when Andy Martin (2x100, 125, 140, 21 darts) defeated William McKendry (100) and Jeff Watt (3x100 16 & 20 darts) defeated Stephen Collins (2x100).
During the course of the earlier rounds there were some very good darts thrown.

Well done to Daniel McDonald on winning the Ballymena League Division 1 Individuals with legs in 14, 16, 17 & 20 darts as well as scoring 2 x180.
