Wimbledon time, the only time of the year when boys and girls throughout the city mark out tennis courts in the street and hit balls at each other.

We have all done it but how many of us have tried it on a full court with proper rackets?!

City of Derry Tennis Club are inviting adults to get out and join their beginners Rusty Racket session on Tuesday evenings at St Columbs Park.

Whether you have played before or not, the club will put you through your paces and get you playing tennis at your own level.

The first block of lessons in May was hugely successful so much so the club has not set up a dedicated social tennis night.

The four week course directed by Club Coach Peter Fryer will be both fun and informative.
