Sam is Towers karate club’s fund-raising champion

SEVEN Towers LC Karate Club members recently picked up CKA fund raising awards.

Champion fund-raiser for the Ballymena club was Sam Kyle.

Runner-up was Ben Ogilie, with Kurtis McClure and Alex Wilson third and fourth respectively.

Sam was also overall champion fund-raiser for the Chujo Karate Association, while Ben was third highest overall.

Each received a beautiful engraved plaque from CKA Chief Coach Mr Dan Redmond.

Other members received certificates in recognition of their fundraising efforts.

The club meets each Wednesday in the Seven Towers LC - Children’s class 7pm to 8pm. Adults and teenagers 8pm to 9.30pm

Beginners’ classes are on-going throughout the year.

Included are the four highest fundraisers in the Seven Towers Club - 1. Sam Kyle; 2. Ben Ogilvie; 3. Kurtis McClure; and 4. Alex Wilson. Prizes were also presented to the highest fundraisers in all of the five CKA Clubs which are Ballymena, Portglenone, Rasharkin, Ballymoney and Coleraine.
