Roadside Garages again give backing to Armoy

Clerk of the Course Bill Kennedy welcomed Roadside as sponsors for the 650 Super Twin Races.

Bill said: “This is great news for Armoy. Vauxhall has been a great supporter of road racing this past year. With Roadside Vauxhall providing us with sponsorship and two Vauxhall vehicles which have been branded with the AMRRC logo and Race Week dates this can only serve to raise the profile of the event. Without support from sponsors like this the race just wouldn’t happen.”

Ian Lamont, Sales Manager at Roadside Garages, said: “Roadside has been involved with the Armoy Road Races for the last two years, so this isn’t something new for us. We are well aware that this part of the world is famous for road racing particularly given the heritage, which this event is built on.

“Last year we had a terrific day. The Armoy Road Racing Club pulled out all the stops and looked after us. This will be the same for everyone attending from families to fans and road racers alike they will experience road racing nowhere quite like Armoy.

“It’s a privilege to be involved again and along with the Ryan Farquhar Vauxhall team it looks that there is going to be some great road racing!”

The Armoy Road Race is part funded by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and is part sponsored by Moyle District Council.
