Paul’s world has a silver lining
Paul Reid was celebrating his best ever achievement at the weekend when he lost in the final of the Short Mat Players’ Tour World Masters and picked up the prestigious silver medal.
The Ballinderry bowler won his way through to the final in a field of 252 starters before losing to Gerry McCabe in the final.
Paul got off to a bad start, going 5-0 down but won the next three ends. It was only at the ninth end that McCabe took an 8-5 lead with a double before finishing a 10-5 winner.
