Orr top scores in 18 Hole Sweep

The weekend competition took the form of an 18 Hole Sweep played in stableford format.

Robert Orr (11) took the spoils with a good score of 41 points. After an opening nine of five over par worth 18 points, Robert played the second nine in one over adding a further 23 - the highlight a birdie at hole 13. The runner-up was Johnnie Montgomery (17) with nines of 17 and 19 for 36 points. Third prize went to Jimmy Kelly (9) scoring 15 and 19 for a total of 34.

This coming Saturday Denis James holds his Club Captains Day. Visitors are welcome to come along and play the “Trout” which is in great shape despite all the recent rain!
