Niall McKinley won Class 3 and took the overall WABBA Ireland title after a tough few days of competition.

Niall pushed himself to the limit by taking part in the hunt for a number of titles within a few days.

March 13/14 was a gruelling weekend for him with tough line ups in both the WABBA competition and the Northern Ireland heat of the National Amateur Body Builders' Association (NABBA).

Niall told the Times: "I won my height Class 3 on Saturday but was beaten in the final by Andy McBride of Coleraine. He is a big fella with very good genetics and well done to him.

"On the Sunday with restricting my water intake and a few adjustments I came in tighter and fuller which enabled me to win my Class 3 and take the overall WABBA Ireland title to Ballycastle.

"I would like to thank my wife for her support at home and at the competitions.

"And I also must praise Stephen Graham of Ballymoney who prepared my diet and nutrition from March 2009 for this year of competition in 2010 and Johnny McCahan and Michael McAfee for pushing me through a year of gruelling training sessions.

"My next competition will be my first weight class on July 3 at the Waterftont in Belfast for the UKBBF (UK Body Building Federation).

"Thank you to everyone for their support. If anyone needs any training advice on weight gain or loss you can contact me through the Marine Country Club, Ballycastle," said Niall.
