Narrow defeat for Ballymoney away to Belfast Harlequins
THIS was a slip-up for Ballymoney away to a team below them in the table.

Hide AdOn Friday 17th of January, Ballymoney 1XI travelled to Belfast Harlequins to play a match which could safely secure their league position.
The Toon ladies began well and put Quins under pressure right from the whistle. In the 9th minute the Toon were awarded a penalty corner, but unfortunately for them it was deflected wide. Ballymoney kept the tempo up with a great shot from Katherine Minihan which was saved by the goalie.
Quins fought back winning a penalty corner which was cleared wide by Sammy-Jo Greer. At half time the score was 0-0.
The Toon started the second half well with Ballymoney working tirelessly all over the pitch looking for the final connection to convert.

Hide AdFast attacking hockey from both sides led to many goal mouth chances, majority falling to the Toon. A lack of concentration from Ballymoney opened a window of opportunity for Quins. Taking their chances, Quins won a penalty corner and a drag from the top of the circle resulted in the ball hitting the back board.
As the match came to a close, the final score was Quins 1-Ballymoney 0.
