Rounds one and two of the adult and youth championships will return to Dalway’s Bawn on the outskirts of Carrickfergus, while the third and fourth rounds will see a brand new venue introduced at Quay Park in Larne.

The absence of McCormick’s Farm from the list of venues for this year’s championships may disappoint some followers of the popular series, but its absence has in turn, paved the way for the new addition. This will be the first time the series has been in such close proximity to Larne town, with the venue situated 1.5 miles from the Millbrook roundabout on the Ballymullock Road.

Club Official Ryan Denney said: “We are delighted to have secured this fantastic new venue in Larne for the championship.

“There is around 19 acres available to us so we anticipate that the track layout will be fast and flowing, perfect for grasstrack racing.

“With McCormick’s Farm not available this year, it forced us to go out in search of a new track and lucky enough, we got this offer so we would like to thank the Magill family for accommodating us in 2013 and also the McCormick family for their support over the past few years at Gleno.”

This leaves the championship dates and venues as follows: Adult Championship - Round 1, Saturday, April 20 (Dalway’s Bawn, Carrickfergus); Round 2, Wednesday, May 22 (Dalway’s Bawn); Round 3, Wednesday, June 12 (Quay Park, Larne); Round 4, Saturday, July 6 (Quay Park).
