The Ballymoney Blaze Summer camp, in association with Ballymoney Sports Development, proved to be a great success for all those who took part.
18 young people from around the borough received some top class coaching from some of the most experienced and successful coaches in the country, as they developed their skills in a fun but challenging environment.
Coaches Caroline Goodliffe, Dr Ian Walker and David Park put the participants through their paces across the 4 nights of the camp, held at the home of Ballymoney Blaze, Dalriada School.
Club Chairman, Johnny McClenaghan said: “It was great to see so many taking part, in particular those who have never played the sport before, clearly the olympics have inspired some to try the sport for the first time.
“With so many great clubs in the town, across so many different sports, I just hope we can encourage a few more to come along and try out the sport and hopefully take it up as a hobby.
“I would like to thank the coaches for their help in running the camp, and Sports Development for their continued support for the club. We’re all just looking forward to getting the season up and running now.”
