SCORPION Boxing Club would like to invite everyone to come along this Friday night (November 30) to support their local boxers as they take on an Ulster Select side on which promises to be an exciting bill down at St Patrick’s Hall on Castle Street, Ballymoney.
Preparations have been going well and there are 12 bouts up for decision. There will be Irish, Ulster and County Champions all on display and the organisers hope that the local public will turn out in their droves to support this 30th Anniversary show which is the first of three planned for this season to celebrate the Ballymoney Club’s achievement of serving the local community for three decades.
The club stresses that everyone is very welcome and it would be nice to see some old hands who have been associated with the club over the years come along as well.
The doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £6 with all proceeds going to purchase some much needed equipment for the gym.
The bouts hope to start around 8.15pm with two exhibition matches then proceedings will start with Keelan McAlister at 27k followed by Brian and Micheal McAlister, Ryan Wallace, Micheal Coyles and James McNaughton.
Then there are two cracking contests lined up to close the show with Ulster Champ Seamus McAlister taking on All Saints’ Dean Hughes and Cruiserweight Champion Karol Dlugosz taking on Springhill’s John Stokes.
