Causeway Judo players get top marks at NI schools contest

Causeway Judo sent a team of young Judoka to the Northern Ireland schools championships at Campbell College, Belfast, recently.

The competitors were Thomas McNabb, Thomas Greenwood, Keris Barlett, Luke O’Neill, Bradley Jackson and Daniel McGready.

These young martial artists did their respective schools proud and brought home an impressive array of medals.

Thomas McNabb lifted gold and this further adds to his NI closed medal.

This young athlete is an asset to his club and will be a forced to be reckoned with in the future.

Thomas Greenwood secured a silver medal after four hard fights and just lost out in a nailbiting final.

It has to be said that Thomas is a natural.

Keris Barlett, a girl who has been doing judo for a number of years now, fought a great final to bring home the gold.

The rest of the Causeway fighters all secured bronze and all the coaching staff at Causeway are more than proud of their fighting.
