Last week in the Bushmills and District league Charity Shield qualifiers, Section A had already been settled with Benvarden and Dunluce Presbyterian through and Armoy also booking their place in the charity semi-finals.

It was the runner-up spot that would be decided this week between Ballywatt and Bushmills.

The first half started off pretty even with one rink drawing but Ballywatt’s Boyd Williamson’s rink edged a 10-8 win to get the first half overall score point.

The second half was even, with each winning one rink apiece but again Ballywatt had edged the second half overall score point by a shot 18-17 which in turn gave them the overall match score putting them into the charity semi-finals.
