Armoy back to winning ways

Armoy bounced back from their mid week defeat against Loughguile in the Countess of Antrim to secure full points against Creggan.

Armoy started the stronger with 2 points in the opening minute from Lee Forsythe and Gerard Mc Fetridge, two further points were added by Lee Forsythe before the visitors opened their account.

Glenrovers totally dominated the opening half with 4 more points from Lee Forsythe, two from half back Martin Mc Erlain and one from Eamon Mc Caughan.

Glenrovers also found the net in the first half as Connor O Kane won the Creggan puck out and quickly played a ball up the line to Trevor Linton who fired the ball into the square where Gerard Laverty pushed the ball past the Creggan keeper.

Half time score Armoy 1-12 Creggan 0-5

As good as Armoy were in the first half they were equally as bad in the second with Creggan scoring 5 points without reply after the restart to cut the deficit to 5 points before Lee Forsythe converted a long range free.

Armoy were clearly feeling the pressure but dDespite Creggan playing the better hurling in the second half, an out-of-sorts Armoy managed to hold on to secure full points.

Armoy won’t however be too disappointed as they clearly have no problems racking up the scores with Lee Forsythe notching over 18 points between the two games this week
