Task Forces will be formed in Glenariffe, Cushendall, Ballycastle and Bushmills in order to facilitate and organise community events in the lead up to and taking place on Sunday June 3rd.
Get together with the council at the following public meetings; Cushendall Old School House, Tuesday 7th February 8pm; Ballycastle Sheskburn House,Wednesday 8th February 8pm; and Bushmills Community Centre, Thursday 9th February 8pm.
Each group will be assisted by Moyle District Council staff to put in place a programme of events to support those members of our communities, the Torchbearers, who have been chosen to run with the Olympic Flame.
The council wants to create a party atmosphere and run events for all age groups so that everyone can join in and savour the atmosphere.
You don’t have to be a member of a community organisation; anyone can become part of the four community task forces.
