Rory and Megan are favourites to retain title

Now that Rory Madeley and Megan Whan have beaten Eamon and Gina McConville 4 and 3 in the Mixed Foursomes Championship, we know the line-up for the semi-finals.

Rory and Megan will play Brendan Meade and Marianne Nelson.

Denise and Gerry McBrien will play Karen Heslip and Cecil Wilson.

Rory and Megan won the championship last year and they will certainly be hard to beat this time out.

The semi-final line-up in the Haughton Smyth Cup is as follows:

Paul Wylie versus Colin Wilton.

Conor Mulholland versus Mark McCoy.

It’s going to be a youth versus experience scenario in the final and I wouldn’t dare attempt to predict the two finalists.
