Golf: Lady Captain’s Day a hit at Carrickfergus

Over 100 golfers and guests attended the prize-giving dinner when overall winner Jan Davoll (36 points) was presented with her award.

Joan Rea won the 0-23 section with 35 points, and the 24-36 section was won by Liz Loughridge.

Angela Williams won the Committee Prize with 33 points, Lily Robinson the Anno Domini with 32 points.

Other winners: Sandra Wallace (1st nine, 17 points); Kelly Campbell (second nine, 18 points); Betty Hunter (nine-hole prize, 13 points); Doreen Walsh (five-day prize, 35 points); Wendy Gray (Visitors’ Prize); Lily and Gary Robinson (Mixed Foursomes Prize); Nearest to the Pin winners - Joan Rea (20, Helen Vizard, Liz Loughridge and Kelly Campbell.

The Gents’ Visitors’ Prize was won by Gary Oliver with 38 points, while Alan Adair took the Club Gents’ Prize with 42 points.
