Chris shoots 64 for new record

Chris had a fantastic front nine of 28 shots which equalled 25 point’s with two eagles at the 1st and par four 4th, three birdies and four pars and at this stage a 59 was a real possibility.

However a couple of three putts on the 11th and 17th paid to that target. He did however have three birdies at the 13th 15th and 18th holes and four pars for a one under back nine, 20 points and a total of 64 gross and 45 points to win by one point.

In second place with 44 points was Tony Beeton, he had 23 points on his front nine with three pars, five bogeys and one double bogey.

His back nine of 21 points contained two birdies at the 13th and 18th holes, two pars, two single bogeys and three double bogeys.

In third place again with 44 points was Philip Patterson. He had 24 points on his front nine with four pars at the 4th 5th 7th and 9th holes and five bogeys, his back nine contained one birdie at the 12th hole, two pars at the 17th and 18th holes, four bogeys, one double bogey and one no-score.

The gross prize was won by Patrick Jordan with an excellent one under gross 71,but he will remember this round more for marking the card for the new course record of Chris Watts.

Patrick had a front nine of one under with four birdies, two pars and three bogeys.His back nine of level par included two birdies, five pars and two bogeys. This brings him down to his lowest handicap to date at 3.

The fourth prize was picked up by Sam Frazer with 43 point’s, he had 23 points on his front nine with six pars, one bogey and two double bogeys. His back nine had one birdie at the 18th hole, three pars, three bogeys and two no-scores.

Fifth place went to Stephen Thompson with 43 points, he had 24 points on his front nine, with three birdies, four pars, one bogey and one double bogey. His back nine of 19th point’s again included one birdie at the 15th hole, four pars, two bogeys and one triple bogey.

The senior prize was won by Neil Walker with 42 points.
