Ballyliffin to take on Foyle in League final

The Jacks Bar sponsored Autumn Trophy competition played at Foyle on Saturday saw close to 80 cards taken out.

The competitors enjoying favorable conditions and Paul Duddy made full use of the conditions to strike a blow for the higher handicappers when posting an excellent winning score of 43 points.

The Friday open was claimed by Jonathan Pringle (17) after she scored 41 points, second was Tony O’Kane (18) with 41 points and Greencastle’s Sean Glackin (9) with 34 points was third after a break of tie finish.

Brendan Gallagher (17) with 41 points claimed the club stableford competition, Paddy Coyle (12) was second after he too scored 41 points and Damien Ming (17) with 40 points was third.

The club competitions get underway today (Wednesday) with the Crumley Construction monthly medal and Over 50’S Final taking place, Saturday’s sees a Open Stableford sponsored Rankin Machine Tool Services down for decision, while on Sunday the Crumley Construction monthly medal takes centre stage.

Meanwhile the final round of in the North West Inter Club League has been completed and after another series of very competitive matches the two teams to compete in the 2014 final will be Ballyliffin versus Foyle.

Ballyliffin topped section 1 after a very impressive win over Greencastle, in section 2 Foyle had a slender 1.5 points ahead of North West.
