Glebe finish fifth, Ballymoney tenth

GLEBE Rangers finished fifth in Championship Two this year with 52 points, 15 ahead of Ballymoney United who ended tenth on 37 points.

Glebe won their final game 3-1 away to PSNI with Ian Parkhill, Tommy Elder and David McVicker on the scoresheet.

In midweek, Glebe lost 1-0 away to Sport & Leisure Swifts.

Also in midweek Ballymoney United were defeated 3-1 away to Queen’s and on Saturday they had a 5-1 home defeat to Armagh City.

Although the season is over for Glebe firsts there is still some significant action involving their other teams.

Glebe Old Boys are in a final in the Hutchinson’s Tiles League this Saturday when they take on Balnamore at the Riada Stadium at 11am and Glebe Reserves have a Canada Trophy semi-final against York Road at the same venue at 1pm.
