Fourth successive Millennium Trophy win for Ulster Transport

The event was fortunate to get glorious late summer weather and the greens were in top condition for what proved to be another fantastic tournament.

Jordanstown-based Ulster Transport Bowling Club picked up the trophy which they have now won for the last four years in succession.

The event concluded with the traditional dinner and presentation, hosted at Newtownabbey Bowling Club at Hazelbank.

Dean Holmes, Newtownabbey Council’s Sport and Play Development Officer, commented: “This is a fantastic tournament and well supported by local bowlers, both young and old. Bowls has been going from strength to strength in what is a good example of an all-inclusive sport.”
