Northend United warm up for new campaign
After a scoreless draw with Moira, Northend beat Celtic Boys - who had previously beaten the Northend lads on penalties in Carrickfergus only six weeks previously - 1-0 with Pearse McAuley scoring the decisive goal.
Northend reserved their best performance of the day for the last group game against St Marys with goals from livewire Paidin Mitchell, the industrious Callum Burnside and one from Ryan Laverty which saw them progress as group winners to the semi-finals stage.
