Named: Buick PS footballers of yesteryear

It had been submitted by Times reader Stuart Grant who had asked if anyone could name the team members.

Russell White, principal at the Cullybackey school, took up the challenge.

“I asked one of my pupils grandparents, Leslie Henry, who was a former pupil, to look at the photograph published in the Ballymena Times.

“I thought he may have known some of the boys or knew someone who did.

I sent it home one day at 2pm with his grandson and Mr Henry returned to school at 2.30 pm with every boy named! He actually turned out to be in the photograph.

“It’s amazing that out of 600-plus grandfathers, that I asked someone who was in the photo,” added Mr White.

The names of the team members are:
