John Fall gets manager job at Ballymoney United

BALLYMONEY United’s new manager is John Fall.

John was named after a committee meeting on Wednesday December 5.

He had been interim manager at United and had a couple of good wins under his belt since the resignation of former boss Paul Gaston.

John told the Times he is delighted to get the job as he has a long association with the club and particularly its youth section.

He has helped develop players throughout the years through the youth system like one of the Irish League’s top defenders, Howard Beverland of Coleraine.

John is a Ballymoney man who has been involved at a high level in sport in table tennis.

He has a fierce pride in developing local sport and his short term ambition is get Ballymoney moving up the Belfast Telegraph Championship Two table although he accepts that challenging for promotion may be too much to ask for after the poor start to the season.

His long term goal however is for Ballymoney to get up to Championship One and to make them a force to be reckoned with there.

As he prepares to take his troops into Irish Cup battle this Saturday (December 8) against Ballynahinch United he will have Keith Thompson and Gary Archibald helping him out in coaching and fitness roles.
