Dunloy beaten in McReynolds Cup by Ballynure Old Boys


DUNLOY were beaten in the McReynolds Cup on a 2-1 scoreline by Ballynure Old Boys.

Dunloy met Ballynure met at McCamphill Park and at half-time Dunloy trailed the visitors by two goals scored by Josh McIlroy on the 22nd and 34th minutes.

Dunloy got back into the game on the 50th minute with Chris Smiley converting a penalty which gave them hope of saving the game.

Dunloy went on the attack and had a number of good chances but Ballynure on the other hand kept it tight at the back to claim the win at the final whistle of an absorbing game.

The cup is played on a league basis in the early stages of the competition.
