BBOB secure promotion with high-scoring win

Portadown BBOB secured in style promotion out of Mid-Ulster League Division Two on Saturday thanks to a 7-0 success over Castlecaulfield.

Victory on home soil left the Killicomaine club celebrating across 90 minutes - with post-match cause for cheer thanks to confirmation of defeat for rivals Donaghmore.

A midweek success by 2-1 against Lurgan BBOB pushed the Old Boys up into second spot in the standings.

Saturday’s test cemented a successful finale to the campaign for Robert Love’s players on the penultimate matchday.

Adam Hobson kicked off the scoring inside the opening seconds before a William Donaldson double before the break and Matthew Donaldson finish.

Daniel Macartney and Lee Bonis shared the second-half spotlight, with the latter on a brace.
