Deadline looms for annual Moneyglass singles tournament

Entries close this Friday, August 25, for the annual Moneyglass Bowling Club indoor singles tournament.

Coming so early in the tournament calendar, the popular event is often viewed as one of the traditional curtain-raisers to the indoor bowling season.

Qualifying nights will run from Monday, September 2 until Thursday, September 5, in Moneyglass Community Centre.

The finals night will take place in the Loughbeg Road venue on Friday, September 6.

Entry fee is £4 per player and must be accompanied by an entry form.

Matches will be played over nine ends and will be played under Irish Indoor Bowling Association rules.

The tournament committee will endeavour to facilitate competitors for specific dates during the competition, although it would also be helpful for competitors to have alternative dates in mind.

Last year’s tournament was won by Irish international Alan Paul (Cookstown High).
