Cycling: East Tyrone CC’s Kelso claims Ulster title

Neil Kelso finished well in the Under 10 Boys Event and Leslie Mitchell, Keith Warwick and Paul Kelso were all in action in the Senior 4 race.

Under 16 Schoolboy Harvey Barnes was on the Ulster team at the UK Schools Games held at the World famous Manchester Velodrome at the weekend. The Ulster team rode well considering their preparation is curtailed somewhat owing to having no indoor velodrome in Ireland.

Meanwhile the East Tyrone Club welcome all cyclists and walkers to the Magwood Memorial Bike and Hike this Sunday, September 14.

The event is held in memory of the late Ronnie and Ernie Magwood with all proceeds raised donated to the Friends of the Cancer Centre Belfast City Hospital.

Event HQ is at Davagh Forest Park Trailhead and their is a choice of Mountain Biking, Road Biking, Hill Walking or a Family Walk. Registration is at 9 am and the events starting at 10 am.

Finally the East Tyrone Ladies Run starts on Saturday September 27 leaving Asda Car Park Cookstown at 9.30am. There is a coffee stop at the mid way point.
