Eight members sent the total of 270 birds to their third race of the Old Bird season from Clonmel race point.

The birds were liberated at 9:10am into a south westerly wind. The Derrygonigan Lofts of G & S Smith takes the first three positions making it a hat trick of wins.

Joe McCormick takes fourth place, with the consistent Mill Lane Lofts of Gerald Marshall in sixth position.

Congratulations to G & S Smith who took first section “A” and fiftieth open in last week’s race from Roscrea.

Next week’s race point is from Fermoy.

Members sent 123 birds to Saturday’s 170 mile race from Clonmel, liberated at 9.10am in a south west wind. Martin McErlean timed the winner to his Ballymoughan Road lofts at 12.05pm, with more close behind to take third, fourth, fifth and sixth places - second place going to the Tobermore loft of Lynn & Leacock.
