A celebration night in Clann Eireann Social Club attracted support from players, officials, supporters and sponsors to provide the perfect send-off.

Key backers included Sean Lenehan on behalf of Lurgan Credit Union and Noel Hegarty of The GAA Store.

In addition to the presentation of club kit by sponsors, club chairman Donal McCarthy delivered personal donations to each individual on behalf of Clann Eireann.

“With some of the young players already World champions after the last highly-successful campaign on home soil in Dublin in 2012, they go with everyone’s best wishes in the hope of defending their titles and possibly gaining one or two more,” said a Clann Eireann spokesman on the night. “Once again, our senior player Charley Shanks will compete with the big guns of World handball in the men’s open.
