Brown Trout golf club round up

THE weekend competition at Brown Trout was played in two man scramble format.

Club Captain Ronnie Milliken teamed up with Tom Boyd and with three birdies in the first nine holes at the 1st,3rd, & 5th. completing it in three under 32. With further birdies at the 10th and 17th but having a concession at the 11th they covered the second nine in one under 34 for a gross score of four under par 66 less their handicap allowance of 3.5 for a winning total of 62.5.

Just half a shot behind the pairing of Sam Reid and Trevor Cupples took second place with nines of 36 and 37 giving them a gross 73 less their handicap of 10 for a net 63. the highlights being birdies at the 1st. And 14th. holes.

Robert Orr and Jimmy Kelly finished third, after opening with nine pars they covered the back nine in three under par 32 with birdies at holes 12,13,and 15. giving them a total of 67 less their h/cap of 3.75 to end with 63.25.

The previous weekend 18 hole sweep was won by David Milliken with nines of 18 and 22 for a score of 40 points.

Alan Smyton had to settle for 2nd prize on countback with the same score after nines of 21 &19.

Paddy Kelly took the third prize on offer with nines of 19 & 20 for 39 points.
