Blind pairs event proves big success in darts league

The Blind Pairs competition took centre stage in Friday night's Ballymena, Harryville & District Darts League action.

The competition, which sees Division One players randomly drawn with a second division player to compete as a duo over three games of 701.

A total of 27 pairs took part and the event was won by John Elder (Drifters) and Sammy McDowell (Wanderers) who beat Adrian Rouke (Floaters) and George Foster (Fountain Bar). Darnell McCrory/Billy Gay and Davy McFall/Justin Cushenhan were beaten in the semi-finals.

There are two games scheduled for Good Friday with The Coach taking on Thatch Inn (league) and Cosy Corner meeting Bowling Club (MS Cup).
