Ballymoney United dominate but are held to 0-0 draw on opening day of the season at Tobermore

Ballymoney showed their intent right from the kick off and came close on the 8th minute when Bradley crashed the ball against the Tobermore crossbar with Wells beaten.

Ballymoney pinned the home side back for most of the first half but couldn’t capitalise on their possession. An 18th minute free kick by O’Kane was saved by Wells and scrambled clear. Ballymoney should have gone ahead on the half hour when Bradley broke through to shoot, only a great save from Wells prevented the opener.

Ballymoney continued the second half as they had finished the first piling on the pressure but could not break down a resilient Tobermore defence. Ballymoney United: Moore. Craig. McClelland. Keane.
