Acorns' Cathaoir Purvis sets PB on way to Irish Indoor finals
Congratulations to Acorns’ Cathaoir Purvis who finished 11th overall in a very high standard 1500 metre All Ireland Indoor final.
To qualify for the final, Cathaoir ran a personal best of 4.31 in his heat finishing third. Cathaoir has put a lot of time and effort into his training and is reaping the benefits. Well done Cathaoir.

Hide AdCongratulations to Acorns Gillian Kirkpatrick and Nicola McElduff who ran the Bundoran 10 mile race on Saturday.
It was the sixth year of the race. Both girls had great runs, Nicola finishing first in 1.29 with Gillian just behind her also in 1.29.
Nicola used Bundoran as preparation for this Sunday’s London Half Marathon. Everybody in Acorns wishes Nicola all the best for London.
On Saturday a record number of runners turned up in the Antrim coastal village of Waterfoot for the annual Glenariff Mountain Race.

Hide AdThe course is 5.9 mile long with 370 metres of a climb up a hill in the course that is nearly a mile long.
This was the first race in the Northern Ireland Mountain Running Championships (NIMRA)and is known as the ‘Potato race’ because of the goodie bag consisting of a bag of spuds!
In a high calibre field, Acorns’ Shane Donnelly had a great run, finishing in seventh place with a time of 47.12 - over a minute quicker than his last year’s time.
Shane was followed by Acorns’ Conor Lynn in 71.07 with Chris Larkin finishing just behind Conor in 73.06.Well done guys on what is a very tough course.

A challenging route with a mixture of trail and road and a few streams to cross!,well done Bronagh.
Well done to the Acorns who took part in Sunday’s Feeny 10k. It took place on a tough hilly course.
Congratulations to Acorn James Little who had a great run in Sunday’s Liverpool Half Marathon. James came in with a great time of 1.38.
