The CPC production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ proved to be a huge success and entertained audiences over four nights in October.
The cast, producers and support team worked relentlessly since last May to create a wonderful musical experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.
The show was expertly produced and directed by Mrs C. Hughes, Mrs J. Kerr, Ms S. Mullin and Caroline McAfee.
They received huge support from the production support team in terms of the music, set design, choreography, make up and many other aspects which all contributed to the high standard of the show.
The lead roles were performed by Anna Duncan (Dorothy), Georgie Killough (Tin Man), Sorcha Hughes (Lion), Toraigh Watson (Scarecrow) and Conor Berry as The Wizard of Oz.
The staff involved worked tirelessly with the large cast to create a sense of focus, team spirit and hard work, whilst at the same time fostering a fun and enjoyable atmosphere amongst the cast and crew. The audience each night really appreciated the efforts of those on stage and were glowing in their praise and feedback on each of the four nights.
Congratulations to all involved in what was a very memorable school production of ‘The Wizard of Oz’.
