The restoration of the Old Schoolhouse in the grounds of St Patrick’s Parish Church in Ballymoney has proved to be hugely successful.

It provides an interesting and useful venue for many groups and organisations in the town and surrounding area.

To help provide the rest of the finance for the restoration project the Old Schoolhouse Fund-Raising Committee is having a Wedding Dress Festival on the weekend of 23rd -25th September. Opening times:- Friday 2-8pm, Saturday 11am to 5pm and Sunday 2-6pm. Dresses from as far back as 1860 will be on display in the Church itself. Entry is free but donations will be accepted. Cream Teas in the Old Schoolhouse at a cost of £5.

GRAND AUCTION AT FINVOY

Finvoy Presbyterian Church are holding a grand auction in the Church hall on Saturday 10th September. A large number of lots will be auctioned in aid of the Church Hall building fund. Many lots are new items kindly donated by local buisnesses. Lots include household furniture, tools, antiques, gift vouchers, pianos, pedal go kart, toys,farm implements, electricial goods, signed Ulster rugby top and more. Viewing and registration will be from 9.30 am with the auction commencing at 11.00 am. Cakes and bric a brac will be on sale as well as a range of activities to keep the children amused. Barbeque and refreshments will be available throughout the day.This should prove to be a good family day out.
