THE Riverside Theatre in Coleraine was rocking recently to the sonic sounds and blistering beats of a very talented group of young people.
The “We’ve Got Talent” show, funded by North Antrim Community Network in association with Ballymoney Community Resource Centre, showcased the many musical, singing and dancing talents of five different acts.
Performing on the night were the bands Shiverlive and The Young Confederates as well as the dynamic duets of Alan McCandless with Caitlin Morgan and Steph Stewart with Ciara Handforth.
The acts on the night were supported by the amazing dancing talents of Maiko Dance Factory.
As one member of the audience said “I had an amazing night filled with so much local talent!
“I look forward to seeing all the acts again at some point in the very near future.”
Ballymoney Community Resource Centre would like to thank their funders North Antrim Community Network, compere for the evening the incomparable Gary Blair who kept the audience thoroughly entertained throughout and helped with the smooth running of the whole show.
Also a big thank you to judges for the evening Dr. Peter Langton of Causeway School of Music, Elvin Cochrane of UAC Music and Lisa Lyle from local band Little Big Box. And also a big thank you to Michaela and Emma and all the performers from Maiko Dance Factory who closed the evening as well as The Riverside Theatre staff of Jeremy Lewis, David Coyle, Philip Bradshaw, Rose McCloskey and Louise Geddis for their invaluable assistance with all aspects of the booking, production and its success on the night.
Without their help the show would not have been half the success it was.
And of course, a big thank you to all those who came along to the show and made the evening such a success for all those who took part.
Ballymoney Community Resource Centre’s Rock School project aims to bring together young people with and without physical and learning disabilities and peer buddies as part of the ‘Rocking The Causeway’ project and normally meets every second Saturday at Ballymoney Community Resource Centre.
