Walk the Mournes
THIS Saturday’s outing with Ballygally walk leader Cowper Lynas follows part of the Ulster Way in the Mournes Mountains.
It begins at the car park at the foot of Hen Mountain and finishes at Meelmore Lodge, not far from Tollymore Forest Park. The distance is about eight miles and will take approximately four to four-and-a-half hours. The route follows well-trodden paths over open countryside and will probably be wet in places underfoot.
Participants should meet in Ballygally car park at 9.15am or Meelmore Lodge at about 10.45am. There is a charge of £5.
