The Ulster Unionist party have selected four candidates for the forthcoming local Government elections next May.
A meeting at Carnlea Orange Hall endorsed Tom McKeown and Darrell Wilson (Ballymoney), Joan Baird and Sandra Hunter (Moyle) for places on the Causeway Coast and Glens council.
The names have still to be ratified by senior members of the party, but no changes are anticipated.
Some familiar faces in both Councils will retire most notably Harry Connolly )SDLP), Ballymoney, who is one of the longest serving councillors locally.
The DUP have yet to meet to discuss their nominations and some within the party feel it is time they made a move in preparation for what is set to be an interesting campaign.
