The only piece commissioned for the City of Culture programme announced to tour outside of Northern Ireland, ‘Over the Wire’ tells the powerful and captivating story of five men’s survival in the aftermath of the burning of Long Kesh.

Produced by The Playhouse and directed by BAFTA award winning Film and TV director Kenny Glenaan, this powerful and captivating play was met with critical acclaim when it opened in Londonderry in January, described by critics as “exceptional”, “gripping” and “powerful yet provocative”.

Written by multi award winning Irish writer Seamas Keenan, ‘Over The Wire’ will now go on tour to The Tron Theatre, Glasgow for its acclaimed political theatre festival ‘Mayfesto’ from Wednesday, May 8, to Saturday, May 11.
