Bumps cut downBrook Street flow
Speed bumps introduced on Brook street - connecting Bishop Street and Foyle Road - have reduced vehicle speeds and made it less attractive to through-traffic.
Roads Minister Danny Kennedy says buses no longer use the street due to the bumps.
He also says he has no plans to include the street on the gritting schedule.

Hide Ad“My Department would not wish to encourage the use of Brook Street by through traffic.
“A suitable alternative route via Foyle Road and Bishop Street, which is included on he salted network, is available,” he stated.
The street is equipped with a salt box for public use on a self-help basis.
