TUV leader supports Morrison

“I was pleased to be joined by my party leader Jim Allister on Thursday as we hit some of the doors in Lisburn,” said Mr Morrison.

“It is clear from the response in Lisburn and indeed across Lagan Valley that the TUV message is resonating with a lot of people. Many are fed up with the constant bickering and deadlock which characterises local politics and are looking for something which works.

“In the aftermath of the Scottish independence referendum devolution across the UK is being looked at again. TUV needs to be there to ensure that the case for Northern Ireland having the same democratic rights as voters in other regions is heard.

“People know where they stand with TUV. We are a strong and principled voice for the Unionist community.

“As people in Lagan Valley know only too well the DUP will put party interest above all else.

“We see that perhaps most clearly in the treatment of one of their own councillors in Lisburn, Jenny Palmer, who was told “the party comes first” when she sought to secure what was best for the tax payer when representing them on the board of the Housing Executive.”

Jim Allister added: “I was delighted to be able to join Samuel on the canvass in Lisburn.

“It is clear that many people still haven’t forgotten Jeffery Donaldson’s attempts to hoist the Maze shrine on Lagan Valley and I have no doubt that they will turn out in force to vote for TUV on polling day.”
