Marcella Robinson, who comes originally from Castlederg, is delighted to be taking the contralto solos from Handel’s Messiah at Terrace Row Presbyterian Church in Coleraine on Saturday, January 18th.

Her operatic career has taken her to many well known venues and she receives rave reviews for her expressive and colourful singing.

She has been a member of Opera Ireland for its productions of ‘Don Carlo’ and ‘Carmen’.

Marcella has worked under many famous names such as Dr Bernadette Greevy and Dr Andrew Megill.

If anyone would like to sing ‘Messiah’, they are invited to come to rehearsals starting at 10am that day.

Or if you would prefer to listen, then the performance starts at 7pm.

Record numbers have already signed up to rehearse for the ‘Messiah-in-a-day’ event which has become a regular part of the local arts and music calendar.
