Teenager assaulted in Portrush

Police are appealing for assistance in indentifying a man who assaulted a teenager in Portrush on Saturday (19th).

The 18 year old was walking along the promenade from the harbour area to West Strand car park with a female friend around 7pm.

A male wearing a grey tracksuit shook a bottle of juice at the female before grabbing the teenager around the neck and pulling him to the ground.

A second male approached and punched him on the face. Anyone who was in the area and could help police with their enquiries is asked to telephone 0845 600 8000. Alternatively information can be passed on anonymously through the 'Crimestoppers' charity on freephone 0800 555 111.

Bike damaged

Police investigating damage caused to a motorcycle over the weekend of the NW 200 have issued an appeal for information.

Sometime between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Saturday, May 15th damage was caused to a black Suzuki parked in the Station Road area of Portstewart.

A note was left on the bike detailing what may have happened. Police are keen to speak to the person who left the note or anyone else who witnessed the incident.

Antique sign stolen

Thieves have stolen and antique 'ESSO' sign from a service station at Main Street in Garvagh.

The sign was taken from a petrol pump at the premises sometime between 8:00 pm on Wednesday June 9 and 7:30 am on Thursday, June 10.
