Support for '˜Brave the Shave' fundraiser
Christine Bates, from the Prospect Park area of the town, is hoping to raise at least £250 through Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign.
The 27-year-old explained: “I heard about the campaign on the radio, and felt it was something I could do to get people talking about what can be done both to help cure cancer in the future and support those who are facing it daily.

“I know the campaign is called ‘Brave the Shave’, but to be honest I don’t think shaving my head is anything in comparison to the bravery that people with cancer show every day.”
