Sugden to replace McClarty as an MLA
Coleraine councillor, Claire Sugden, who was a parliamentary assistant to the late MLA David McClarty has confirmed she is to take up his assembly post.
Claire Sugden (27) was nominated to the East Londonderry seat by Mr McClarty, who died on Good Friday.
Back in December she became the youngest ever female councillor to sit on Coleraine Borough Council.
