The next meeting of Ballintoy Archaeological and Historical Society will be held on Thursday 28 November, starting at 8.15pm, in Ballintoy Parish Hall.
The guest speaker, Professor Audrey Horning, will outline the various archaeological stories that have been told about an interesting settlement site, located on the cliff above Murlough Bay, in the townland of Goodland.
Audrey Horning is Professor of Archaeology at Queen’s University Belfast.
She has assisted Ballintoy Archaeological and Historical Society in numerous ways since its formation in 2010.
In July 2012 some members of the Society took part in an archaeological dig at Kinbane Castle with Prof. Audrey Horning.
New members and visitors are very welcome to attend and refreshments will be served after the meeting.
