Spaced out at library

THIS year's Libraries NI Summer Reading Challenge, Space Hop, is about to beam down into Lurgan Library over the holidays.

Children age four to 11 are invited to come along and register for the Space Hop and enjoy the events being held to celebrate the Summer Reading Challenge.

On Saturday, July 31, the library will host Space arts and crafts, 2.30pm to 3.30pm, which will be followed by Space Day puzzles from 3.30pm to 4.40pm.

All of these intergalactic activities are free to attend and take part in.

The aim of the Summer Reading Challenge is to read six library books during the summer holidays and each child will advance as they read through three stages - Blast Off, Space Chase and Lunar Landing.

Free resources including foldout sticker charts, glow in the dark wristbands, pencils and spinners will reward each child as they progress.
