£106,000 Drumsurn resurfacing welcomed
Resurfacing work is expected to start at the end of January near Drummond Cricket Club and preparatory works are currently underway.
“This again shows the commitment of the Ulster Unionist Party to the infrastructure of Northern Ireland and Limavady. During a recent visit to Limavady my party colleague Councillor Edwin Stevenson and myself raised several areas that needed attention in the Limavady Borough. The Minister has committed to improving the current road structure as well as adding to it. My thanks to the Minister for getting this work underway.”

During the preparatory works temporary traffic management will be in place and only minor delays are expected. However it will be necessary to close Drumsurn Road for a few days to facilitate resurfacing operations. Advance notice of the closure will be given by information boards erected on site and suitable diversions will be sign posted.
The works will be completed by 9 February subject to favourable weather conditions and Roads Service will keep the public informed of any change. Roads Service has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
